Anläßlich der Aufnahmeprüfung an der Musikhochschule Budapest (Kompositionsklasse Sándor Veress) Bekanntschaft mit Ligeti.
Studium der Komposition bei Verress, Jardanyi und Farkas, Klavier bei Pal Kadosa und Kammermusik bei Leo Weiners.
1957
Stipendium für ein Auslandsstudium in Paris bei Milhaud, Max Deutsch und Messiaen.
1959
Fertigstellung des Quintetto per fiati op. 2
1967
Professor an der Musikhochschule Budapest
1993
"Composer in residence" der Berliner Philharmoniker und Gast des Wissenschaftskollegs zu Berlin.
