There are quite differing opinions about his flute playing (from awful to as good as Tulou) but he was appreciated by Reicha for his compositions.

His compositions include 19 pieces for solo flute, 113 duets for flutes, 19 trios for flutes and 14 quartets for four flutes or for flute and string trio.

Brings Kuhlau to one's mind. Everybody has a solo part. Only the first movement is also in Kuhlau-length. A nice work for a concert...
