Start of studies at the conservatory in Paris with Tulou

Second price of the conservatory

First flute at Paris opera for 24 years

After retiring of Dorus´ he becomes his follower at the opera

1868

First professof for flute at Paris conservatory, who teached the new flute by Böhmflöte. Among his students was Taffanel and Barrere

1880

Publication of his method Méthode complète de Flûte

1893

Retirement from the conservatoire due to health problems. He is followed by Taffanel

Dies in St. Dye bei Blois (may be 24.7.)
