Studies flute with Johannes Lorenz (Hamburg), Redel (Detmold) and Jaunet (Zürich).

1952

Assistant solo flutist of the Baden National Orchestra in Karlsruhe

1955

For a period of 17 years solo flutist of the Philharmonic National Orchestra Hamburg

1960

First price of the ARD competition

1972

Lectorship in Detmold as successor of Hans-Peter Schmitz, end of orchestral work

1981

Professorship in Munich

1996

Visiting professor in Tokyo
