Permanent position as teacher for piano, musical theory and history and composition at the Duisburg conservatory

He rejects the offer to become Thomas cantor in Leipzig due to his bad health, instead he starts teaching at the university in Cologne

Professorship in cologne and teaching at the Peter Cornelius conservatory in Mainz
