Born in Münster, his father was military musician

1787

After the death of his father, who gave him first musical lessons, Romberg gave him further education in bassoon playing.

1788

Member of the bishop´s band, already playing flute instead of bassoon.

1793

Concert tours throughout middle Europe

1794

Member of the Oldenburg court band.

11.05.1819

Dies in Oldenburg
