First music lessons from his mother

Preparing a carreer as an officer

1859

Joins Mili Balakirew and spends his time henceforth mainly on music

1863

Lives for four years on a military appointment.

1869

Appointment at the Minsitry for National Property

16.03.1881

Dies in Petersburg, Rimskij-Korsakow finishs two of his operas posthum.
